1. Summary
The θ1 CSAI Days 2026 website does not use cookies in the traditional sense (HTTP cookies set by the server or tracking scripts). We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics.
We use only one localStorage key: csai-days-language — to remember your language preference (English, French, or Spanish).
2. localStorage: Language Preference

This key is set only when you explicitly change the language via the language switcher (top navigation). It is read on each page load to apply the correct translation and RTL/LTR direction. No personal data, no identifiers, no tracking.
3. What We Do NOT Use
- No session cookies
- No persistent HTTP cookies
- No third-party cookies (analytics, advertising, social media)
- No fingerprinting, canvas tracking, or localStorage abuse beyond the single key above
- No server-side session tracking
4. External Services (Their Cookies)
When you click links to external services, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control them:
- Google Forms (registration, sponsorship enquiry) — Google Cookie Policy
- Microsoft CMT (conference submissions) — Microsoft Privacy & Cookies
- Google Maps (location embed) — Google Cookie Policy
- Google Fonts / Font Awesome / CDN assets — may set cache-related headers; no tracking cookies from our implementation
We load all external resources with rel="noopener noreferrer" and restrictive CSP headers to minimize cross-site exposure.
5. How to Manage / Delete
To clear your language preference:
- Open browser DevTools (F12) → Application / Storage → Local Storage →
csai-days-language→ Delete - Or: Clear site data for this domain in browser settings
- Or: Click the language switcher and select a different language (overwrites the key)
Clearing this key resets the site to English (default) on next visit. No other data is affected.
6. Legal Basis
- GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate Interest: Remembering language choice improves usability without profiling.
- ePrivacy Directive (Cookie Law): localStorage for user-preference-only storage is generally exempt from consent requirements (strictly necessary for requested functionality).
- Morocco Law 09-08: Minimal data processing, transparent purpose, user control.
7. Changes
If we ever add cookies or tracking (e.g., for analytics), we will update this policy, add a consent banner, and seek opt-in where required. Check this page periodically.
